I am a graduate of the University of Michigan Honours Program with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Spanish and Latin American Studies.

In addition to having solid and broad academic grounding and experience, I have also lived in Canada, Poland and Spain [Barcelona] for extended periods of time.  I hold dual Irish and American citizenship and am currently in the process of moving back to Dublin from California.

Beyond the below noted areas of specialty, I have worked in international commercial real estate, interior design and lifestyle and brand marketing, among other fields.

A large part of my work over the last 15 years as a professional freelance translator has involved working with NGOs and other nonprofit groups and organizations to whom I offer discounted rates.

As a published author myself, I am meticulous, self-directed and dependable.  I have an exceptional command of the English language and am comfortable with a variety of different styles of voice. In addition to translations, I have extensive experience in proofreading, editing and research.  I can, and often do, work nights, weekends and on very short notice.
